What's this? Kooky college student creating a copy of Crazy Quilt? Well, not an exact copy; otherwise I'd have to kill myself.
Yes, this challenge focuses on improving the look of an infamous Batman villain. This is him breaking out of Arkham or something. I skipped the "original/my version" tags this time since it should be obvious which is which by now.
Changes:
- face mask to give him some anonymity, which I think would make for a cooler character
- more sleek helmet design
- belt is now a scarf
- white boots to match his gloves (not pure white, though; that's better used sparingly)
- straps across the black space on the front of his jacket, like bits of thread trying to hold together a quilt that's coming undone. The same pattern of lines and circles is repeated on his shoes.
- most importantly, I limited the number of patches on his suit. I can barely fathom how comic book artists could stand to draw this guy more than once, with the haphazard way his suit was designed. Hell, just looking at this single picture of the original makes me want to claw out my eyes and spare myself from its hideousness. Hopefully this revamped design will serve as a relief for any Batman fans that come across it.

Well it's definitely an improvement over the original design. He looks very mischievous. I've actually been redesigning some of batman's villains myself which you can check out in my home page under the file superhero and villain redesigns
