You guys may have already heard of them, but these students have been "vandalizing" chalkboards at my alma mater: www.ccad.edu/blog/2013/12/who-… Kinda makes me wish I didn't graduate so soon so I could have seen these inspiring works in person. True, I'd have to take at least one extra semester of classes, but witnessing chalk art like this makes it all worth it, right?
And all this brings up a solid point: that sometimes we need a break from the regular creative routine to stay fresh and motivated. Personally, I feel I've been in a rut for a while, having to do so much work for others I can't find time for my own art, at times even burning out on art altogether. Motivation is a big issue for me nowadays. Maybe it's just a matter of managing my energy more efficiently. I dunno. Does anyone here have certain ways of conquering apathy they'd like to share?
